Tours and Activities:
Walking on the Beach
Florencia Pollack Florencia PollackThe wild beaches of Aguas Dulces, Valizas and Cabo Polonio awaken our adventurous spirit. Walking on them is a way of traveling back to the days on which anything could happen.

On Our Way
Barra de Valizas is a wild beach, like all the beaches in the area. It is the closest to el Cabo (the Cape). Joining both bathing resorts, it has become a traditional tour for lovers of nature. The distance between these two beaches may be covered on a cart pulled by horses or, those who are more enthusiastic may try walking.
Moved by the impulse caused by a magnificent summer morning, and well supplied with sun protection, we set out to walk seven kilometers from Barra de Valizas to el Cabo on sandy territory with undulations that give shape to huge dunes.

The Pleasure of What Is Natural
This is a tour to do without haste. After all, it is a long way. The huge dunes will accompany us all through the distance. In order to mitigate the heat, it is good to take a dive in the cold crystal clear waters every now and then.
The sands of this beach are particularly fine and the bare feet plunge lightly while walking along the sea shore as they are caressed by the foam of the waves coming through in their never-ending swell. A fresh sea breeze soothes the sun heat and brings a soft taste of salt to our lips.

Surprising Findings
The pace becomes slow. As we walk on, we come into wonders of nature. A dazzling reflection on the sand catches our attention. We come close to discover that it is nacre sea shell.
Quite attentively, we pay more attention to the ground and we see small air bubbles every time the waves recede. It is the clams hiding in the sand. They can be found by just digging a few centimeters. All this keeps its natural cycle as a result of the respect man has professed.

End of the Adventure
As we spotted the ranchos that make up the outskirts of the town of Cabo Polonio in the distance, we became aware of how distant this place in which some have searched to take shelter from the civilization noise really lies.
It is as if the long walk along the unspoiled sand and the contact with the vast solitary ocean dwelled by sea lions and orcas had been getting us ready to understand the reason for this town and its intention to remain just like it has always been.
