There are some traces of colonization in another room reproduced by means of dioramas and artifacts of cultural evolution of the local people, thus showing how important it was for men to use their intelligence for the development of a technology that would produce better results from their tasks and their life quality.
There are some items related to cattle breeding, the old means of transportation like wagons or stagecoaches; weapons, the birth of gauchos and with him the pulpería (local store), spurs, knives and mate.
The next room displays machines from the onset of industrial production, as well as punch card clocks, old cameras and even the recreation of an art noveau cake shop from the XIX century. There is also another room featuring the refined décor and dresses typical of the belle epoque, amongst the most important items.
As it can be expected, the last room of the museum is dedicated to electric energy and there is a model of the Salto Grande Dam. The function of this important generating energy plant can be observed there.
One of a kind in the Río de la Plata region, the Museo del Hombre y la Tecnología is a dynamic experience, educational and recreational, to be enjoyed by the whole family. We highly recommend a visit to this museum.
